• 1986 – Affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore
• 1988 to till date Affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, Chennai.

Eligibility

• Pass in HSC Examinations. (Candidate who have passed Botany & Zoology / Biology, Physics, Chemistry)

Duration

• 4 ½ years degree course with 4 years of academics and 6 months of internship. Course Commencement : September

Brief Academic Details

• First Year - Anatomy, Physiology, Psychology and Sociology, Basic and Applied Physics For Physiotherapy
• Second Year - General Medicine, General Surgery/Pediatrics/Geriatrics, Microbiology and Pathology, Massage Therapy, Exercise Therapy , Biomechanics, Applied Anatomy and Kinesiology
• Third Year - Electrotherapy – I, Electrotherapy- II, Clinical Cardio Respiratory Diseases for physiotherapist, Physiotherapy in Cardio respiratory diseases, Community Medicine
• Final Year - Clinical Orthopedics, Clinical Neurology, Physiotherapy in Neurology, Physiotherapy in Orthopaedics, Rehabilitation Medicine and Project
• University Examinations are conducted at the end of each academic year

Internship - 6 Months

• On rotatory basis students are posted in various departments of
  Sri Ramakrishna Hospital for 6 months. During this period they are trained by senior Doctors and Physiotherapy Staffs.
